The year was 1981. Congress made history when it requested that the president proclaim Women’s History Week, beginning on March 7 of the following year. Then in 1987, the National Women’s History Project asked Congress to set aside the entire month of March to celebrate the history of women. Congress did, and we’ve been celebrating ever since!

The year is 2022. Join us in recognizing and honoring the contributions of women as we hear from some of NAWBO-GR’s veteran members who’ll be sharing their stories and some of the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

Pam is a Past President of NAWBO Greater Raleigh, and during her many years as a NAWBO member, has served on various committees at both the local and National levels. She recently “retired” from the board of the American Marketing Association Triangle and is the current President of the National Sales Network Raleigh Chapter.

Sarah Forney, Financial Advisor with Long View Group at Morgan Stanley

Sarah is focused on helping clients navigate transitions and simplify their financial lives.  She’s passionate about working with women and children, supporting and advocating for the nonprofit community and impact investing (ESG).  Sarah joined her first community board at 18 years old and continues to be involved in local efforts related to domestic violence, human trafficking, hunger and financial literacy.  Sarah is happily married to a Raleigh native and has a young son.
