About the Event:

The Installation & Awards Gala is NAWBO Greater Raleigh’s annual celebration of the achievements of the chapter and its members under the leadership of the existing BOD. We will acknowledge members who have greatly contributed to those achievements as well as reinvigorate members and their supporters for achieving lofty goals going forward. The evening will close by welcoming the new BOD members who have agreed to proudly lead and serve our chapter while armed with a vision for our future success in fulfilling NAWBO-GR’s mission of propelling women business owners into greater economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. Just before we walk out the door, grab your dance partner and let us celebrate all the changes we have to make and the new things that are occurring.  Black tie optional.  

Let’s celebrate you and your accomplishments! Did you receive your MWBE Certification, or a large contract over the last year. Did you overcome unprecedented challenges during this past year? We want to share your success stories, highlighting all that women business owners triumphed over during 2023-24. Please reply by end of day on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, with how you successfully pivoted over the last year and/or accomplished a major goal, and we’ll reply with how to record your story for sharing at this year’s gala.

About the Theme:

Each incoming chapter president for NAWBO-GR chooses a theme to reflect her vision for the chapter and its alignment with the achievements of women in business. This year’s theme is "Women Mean Business: Healthy, Wealthy, Wise." This theme emphasizes the holistic success of women in business, focusing on well-being, financial empowerment, and wisdom. From forging new connections and obtaining certifications to setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care, our theme encourages women business owners to embrace all aspects of their lives. We also spotlight the power of collaboration, where women bring together their teams, overcome fears and anxieties, and support one another to reach even greater heights. When women business owners surround themselves with genuine, supportive people who care deeply about their success, they are motivated to level up, provided with a supportive sounding board, and share moments of joy and laughter. This environment helps everyone achieve more. NAWBO-GR provides the ideal organization through which we can obtain the support and resources needed to optimize opportunities as we emerge from this challenging year. By embracing health, wealth, and wisdom together, we’ll accomplish amazing feats and continue to rise.

Prestonwood is a privately-owned and operated family-friendly country club nestled inside Preston, a premiere residential community located in the heart of Cary, NC. With the beautiful golf course as you drive in,  stunning entryways, and gorgeous ballroom with a curved staircase for taking pictures, we know you will enjoy the evening we have planned.
